I’ve caught lots of grief from friends, both in Prague and in the States, about my twitter (Don’t know what Twitter is? Where have you been living? Sorry for the sarcasm, here’s an explanation.) habit over the last year or so. It’s actually been pretty entertaining at times. I’ve been “defrieneded” [...]

national championship and beyond the ultimate

Before flipping on the TV to watch, what should be, a great NCAA National Championship game, click over to AIA’s Beyond the Ultimate and discover what lies under the surface of what the TV cameras show us. Our great communications and tech staff back at AIA headquarters always do a great job of wrapping Beyond the Ultimate with the current national or worldwide supporting event. Check it out. Be encouraged by the stories of young men, who are great athletes, but look to someone other than themselves for true strength! Here is a little preview about Tim Tebow, enjoy! Oh yeah, and enjoy the game! I, unfortunately, won’t stay up for the game, but I’m sure I will enjoy the highlights the morning after!
lions highlight videos 2008
Ahoj! (Hello!) Well, we had our Lions Party last night and the two highlight videos I did quick for the team were shown, so now I can put them on the world wide web! Here you go! The first two are the senior highlight video, with the English version first and then the Czech version. The third video is the junior team video. It is also official and was announced to the team, and people at the party, that I will be the head coach of the junior team next year! Big… Keep the prayers coming for this! Thanks for stopping by today!

i need your help…

Alright, I really need your help! So please, please use the response feature on my blog after you read this and let me know what you think and help me out with some ideas! So I’ve told you before about the Czech Project and us having it here this summer, and we are thinking through curriculum, recruiting, and etc. One of the things on my plate is a 30 second video spot that we will use on youtube, facebook and the web to get people thinking and praying about it. So here is where I need your help, I don’t know what to wrap the video around, themes, how to get people excited and etc. Will you help me? Here are some questions:
- What themes related to an international summer missions trip would get you to consider coming?
- What makes your heart beat?
- What images, sounds, sights would get you thinking and praying about it?
- Flat out, do you have any ideas for me?
Remember it’s only a 30 second piece, but my [our] hope is that it will be something that grabs people and can be a good ‘get to the site and start praying about spending a month here’ type of video. Thanks in advance for your help! I’ll be shooting it and editing it after Christmas. Be a Revolution!
sign up! {slightly updated}

That sexy logo you see above is a little magic from my stud of a graphic designer friend, Mike Gorter, (Mike did a sweet skyline of Prague for me, thanks again Mike!) and a bit of tweaking on my part. I like how it came out. I wanted to blend the old, classiness of Prague with a very contemporary, urban font and after trying some 20 variations our staff team sided on the first one, which you see above. So you can head over to the AIA site to read more about the project, and if you are a college athlete pray and consider joining our wonderful staff team, in this wonderful city, for a wonderful month next summer, and then tell your friends to do the same! Be a Revolution today!
these haunted me for 3 weeks…
Forgive me for not getting anything substantial up from our 3 week long trip to the Far East. I’ve been working on a monster prayer letter and the rest of the time has been filled up with coaching our junior team (although I put a TON of pics on my flickr, see below). I did want to share two videos with you, that haunted me and that I absolutely could not escape while I was there. One is “Beijing Welcomes You.” This song is so very true, I was so very surprised by the hospitality of nearly every person I encountered there. The second is the Adidas’ commercial for the games. It is interesting, it reminded me of something I’ve seen in the past. I won’t share, because I would love to hear what you think of it. Okay, off to cross some things off my to do list. Blessings…
