Before I left the hotel in Lincoln, NE I wanted to post this weeks quote of the week. It’s a bit early, but I might not be around my computer for a couple of days. My director, Billy Crossan, has commanded me (I don’t vacation well) a need to take an interrupted vacation for at least 4 days! So I’m getting ready for that, BUT I do have a quote for you! This weeks quote comes from Gary Haugen of International Justice Mission and it comes from the Catalyst Podcast he did this spring. This quote is him urging Christians to experience the world and see what is happening outside of our “safe” borders! I thought this quote went well with last week’s post from Mark Batterson on a Theology of Travel.
You just gotta go. I encourage every leader of the church here in the United States, whether big or small, to go overseas. Get out of the country, get a passport. If you don’t have a passport you may not get into heaven, I’m teasing but of course. But God loves the world, he loves the big, big world! We should all try to open our heart up to God’s great, great passion for the world and just go be with them.
I love it! Yes, there is a bit of sarcasm is the quote, but I think it is necessary. The guy interviewing Gary made a commit that only 20-30% of Christians have passports. So here is my question for you for this weeks quote of the week, “Do you have a passport?” Simple enough, right? I know that isn’t a great question, so here is a bit better one, “What do you think keeps us, as Christians, from having God’s heart for the Nations?”

Dana, I think you are the only person that reads my blog! 😉 Actually, you and Mike! I was going to joke about my two faithful readers (you) posting, but I didn’t and I guess I am now! I hope you don’t feel as if you have to post! Thanks though!
